OPPO F11: A Quick Look at OPPO’s Mid-ranger with 48MP Camera, Helio P70, and More https://beebom.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/oppo-F11-featured.jpg

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OPPO’s new mid-range smartphone, the OPPO F11 is going on sale starting 18th May. So, if you’re wondering what the OPPO F11 comes packing and what it features for the asking price of Rs. 17,990. Here’s a quick look at the F11.

OPPO F11 Specs:

Display 6.5-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD
Processor MediaTek Helio P70
RAM 4GB
Storage 128GB
Rear Cameras 48MP + 5MP
Front Camera 16MP
Battery 4020 mAh, VOOC Flash Charge 3.0
Operating System Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie

OPPO F11 Display

The OPPO F11 comes with a big 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display up front, with a waterdrop display for the front facing camera. The device features an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 for a maximised viewing experience and more screen real-estate. The bezels on the F11 are thin all around, except for the chin, but that’s pretty standard in phones at this price range. Plus, there’s Gorilla Glass 5 for protection against scratches and cracks.

OPPO F11 Cameras

OPPO looks like it’s banking a lot on the cameras of this phone as one of its selling points. The F11 comes with a dual rear camera set up with a 48MP f/1.79 primary, and a 5MP f/2.4 secondary camera. The company hasn’t mentioned whether it’s using the Sony IMX586 here, or the Samsung Bright ISOCELL GM1 sensor for the 48MP camera on the back, but either way, it’s a 48MP camera, and it should take good photos, especially in good lighting.

On the front, the phone comes with a single 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera with AI 2.1 for better effects, and beauty mode.

The phone features two interesting camera modes as well — Ultra Night Mode, and Dazzle Color Mode — which are OPPO’s system-level optimisation solutions for more exciting smartphone photography. According to OPPO, the Ultra Night Mode makes night-time portraits better by distinguishing between portraits and backgrounds, focussing on faces, and adjusting skin color to achieve a more lively overall effect.

OPPO F11 Software and Performance

On the software front, the F11 is running Color OS 6.0, which is the latest iteration of OPPO’s custom Android skin that comes loaded to the brim with features. Based on Android 9 Pie, Color OS 6.0 brings special optimisations for popular games, which means you get a better experience while gaming.

Other than that, Color OS 6.0 is feature-packed and you’ll be hard-pressed to find features you need that are not already available in the OS.

The phone comes with the MediaTek Helio P70 processor, which is a pretty solid mid-ranger SoC. Plus, it’s paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage which should be decent, although 4GB RAM might be an issue with the heavy Color OS 6.0 that the phone is running.

The Helio P70 is a capable processor though, and the phone should run all the games you want it to without any issues. Plus, with the massive 4,020 mAh battery you shouldn’t run out of juice in between your matches, and if you do, VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 will top it up really quickly.

OPPO F11 Price and Availability

The F11 is going on sale on May 18th, and the company has priced the phone at Rs. 17,990. At that price, the phone seems to be a decent mid-range smartphone, at least on paper. The smartphone will be available in two color variants: Fluorite Purple, and Marble Green, across all online platforms, and authorized OPPO retail stores across the country.
