Oppo, OnePlus and Huawei have emerged as the top three mobile brands in terms of customer satisfaction in India, ahead of popular brands, such as Xiaomi, Samsung and Vivo. The results are part of a recent survey conducted by market research firm, Numr Research, which used a metric called Net Promoter Score, or NPS, for calculating customer satisfaction and loyalty towards a particular brand.

While a higher NPS score suggests that consumers are satisfied with the brand and will suggest their peers to buy the same product, a lower score indicates that customers are generally unsatisfied with their ownership experience. The online survey, which had 500 respondents between 25 and 60 years of age, was conducted among SEC A1 residents in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad.

The study also uncovered certain interesting habits of Indian smartphone users. According to the survey, smartphone users in the country are spending a heck of a lot of time on social media (67 minutes per day on average), online shopping (64 minutes) and watching movies or videos (69 minutes).

On an average, people spend 56 minutes on phone calls and video calls every day, and 43 minutes listening to music. Texting and instant messaging (FB Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.) occupies another 41 minutes on average. People also reported spending around 30 minutes every day reading articles or online news on their smartphones.

In terms of smartphone ownership, the survey found that 52 percent people currently own only one smartphone whereas 42 percent reported that they have two. Another 5 percent reported having 3 personal smartphones while 1 percent claimed that they have 4 or more.
