Apple has already sent out invitations for its iPhone 11-series launch on September 10, and rumors now suggest that the new lineup will be available for purchase pretty soon after. According to MacRumors, Apple’s all-new iPhone lineup will be up for pre-order in the US from Firday, September 13, while in-store availability will start a week later, from September 20.
The report apparently comes from a tipster who claims to work at a major US carrier, and is said to have provided the blog with internal communication that suggests that the upcoming iPhone models will be available to pre-order from this month. While the dates are yet to be officially confirmed, the fact that we’ve been hearing such murmurs over the past few days suggest that there might be some truth to it after all.
Apple last week sent out media invites for its annual iPhone event, confirming rumors that the new lineup will be unveiled on September 10 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The invite sent out by Apple didn’t really give much away, but the colors in the Apple logo suggests that the company might offer its newest smartphones in multiple color options this year – at least for the base iPhone 11.
Meanwhile, a recent leak also seemingly revealed some of the key tech specs of all the three iPhone models expected to launch this year. According to the image, the devices will be named iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. While all three will be powered by the A13 chip, the base model, with a 6.1-inch LCD screen, will only ship with dual-12MP cameras, while its more expensive stablemates, with 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED displays, respectively, will offer triple-12MP camera setups at the back.
